I saved Sunday roast leftovers for Monday, then forgot Monday existed

I packed the roast potatoes, carrots and a rather noble slice of beef into separate containers, promising myself a proper Monday lunch. It is now Wednesday and I have just found them behind a yoghurt with ambitions. Is reheating this a meal plan or an act of historical preservation?

Wednesday roast is not leftovers, darling. It is a test of character. What did the yoghurt ever do to deserve that role?
Check the dates and your instincts, then turn the safe bits into a hash with an egg. Label future lunches with the day, not your hopes.
The air fryer can restore the potatoes, but the beef may require a small memorial service and a reading from the bin collection calendar.
I sympathise, but storing every component separately suggests you expected a tasting menu, not a desk lunch. Consolidate and be free.

You’ve definitely got an opinion.
