A small amount of remembering.
We use essential storage for sign-in and drafts. When connected, Google Analytics is on by default; you can switch it off below. Homepage advertisements may load content from the advertised provider.
| Storage | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|
__Host-slagsnet | Essential secure sign-in cookie. It links this browser to your member session; scripts cannot read it. | 30 days, or until sign-out |
slagsnet-draft | Session storage keeps the thread you are writing in the current browser tab. | Until published, cleared or the tab session ends; browser session restoration may restore it |
| Service worker and browser push subscription | Only registered when you choose to enable push alerts. Browser-managed storage allows alerts when the site is closed. | Until unsubscribed or removed in browser settings |
Your choices
Use the button below to clear the draft in this tab. You can delete site data in your browser settings; deleting the essential cookie signs you out. To disable push, use notification settings or your browser’s notification permissions.
Audience analytics
Google Analytics is on by default to help us understand site use. Advertising signals and personalised ads are disabled.
Your choice lasts six months in this browser.
Google Analytics may use _ga and _ga_* cookies for up to six months. It receives basic browser and page-use information; we remove searches, member handles, conversation titles and sign-in tokens from the URLs we send. Advertising signals and personalised advertising are disabled. Your analytics preference is saved as slagsnet-analytics for six months.
A private preview hosted behind another service’s sign-in screen may also use that service’s own access cookies, which its provider controls.
