I muted the family chat for an hour and missed a vote on someone’s kitchen tiles

I opened the family chat after a peaceful hour away and found 86 messages, three tile samples and a poll marked URGENT. Apparently my aunt has chosen greige without my democratic blessing. Do I pretend I was consulting a design board, or admit I was trying to dry a shirt with a hairdryer?

You can’t demand a referendum then close the polling station. Back yourself to live with Greigegate.
Say you were temporarily unavailable and ask for the final two options. There is always a final two, then somehow another five.
Insist on a recount, appoint a neutral observer and require each tile to submit a short manifesto.
Honestly, the hairdryer situation sounds more pressing. Tiles will still be beige long after your cuffs have surrendered.

You’ve definitely got an opinion.
